New Round

It is quite possible and probable, that I, Lucas R Willard, will be the next Nature Director at BSA Camp Wakpominee.

I leave for my summer away from home on June 16th for National Camping School at Massawepie up near Lake Placid.

This weekend, Brett is coming home. He's looking forward to jamming on musical instruments, which I haven't done with the ol' bro for some time. In the time since then, I think that my guitar playing and style has improved and taken on its own sound.

In case you were curious, I don't rely on power chords. I prefer a mish-mash chord that I guess is just like a power chord, except it sounds better.

Bryan wants to bring his failed Lefties project back from the dead to play a new show sometime in May. I'd be playing guitar and hopefully offering something to the project instead of just learning power chord patterns. On Monday we played a bit and I contributed an interesting jam I concocted. Hopefully all will sound good and practices will go smoothly. From what I witnessed last March (06), there's lots of work to be done, and lots of things to teach Bryan.

This weekend also is home to Easter Sunday, which is never really a huge deal at my house, but Gramma and Grandpa Woods should be coming down for breakfast, which is nice.

Also, I should probably see Erinn before she leaves for a week in Puerto Rico. The only reason why I don't like Puerto Rico is because of annoying videos I used to have to watch during spanish class. If I were to fly to any outlying US territory or province, I'd choose Hawaii. Not only do they have volcanoes, colorful shirts, luaus AND big kahunas, they don't speak spanish and have their OWN kickass language.

Last weekend I visited SUNY Fredonia with Dan and loved it. The campus is beautiful, the people seem laid back and friendly, and the programs look good. It seems like the perfect fit. I'm certain I'll keep the communications major, and focus in both audio production and film. For the first time in 2 years, I'm excited about where I'm going to college. I'm going to love it.

Dan and I drove out on Friday, crashed at Brett's and continued Saturday morning. We got home, after stopping back in Syracuse on the way back, around 11:45 pm after a full day of walking and driving. 12 hours of driving and multiple cds on full blast later, the speakers are crapping out and the car developed a nice rattle. Dad just sold his Subaru, but I'm not sure if I'll still be able to buy the car's cd player from him, but I should, along with new speakers for the ol' Honda. That rattle can get looked at anytime, its nothing big.

That's all for now.
